Abstract

The objective of this article was to analyze the contribution of ICT in the teaching-learning process at the State Technical University of Quevedo (UTEQ) during the period 2020-2023. The ICTs that have been implemented were identified, information collected thanks to the corresponding departmental directors in order to know the degree of academic satisfaction of students and teachers. A stratified sample was defined from whose results it is clear that, despite the challenges the university has to face, it shows a solid commitment to improve the infrastructure and computer resources by implementing digital platforms such as the Virtual Classroom and Academic Management System (SGA), virtual libraries such as e-Libro, GALE and Koha, increased bandwidth and Internet coverage, Office 365 license; this has significantly strengthened the technological base of the UTEQ. Students have a positive attitude towards the use of these tools, while teachers exhibit a good level of ICT skills, coinciding with accessibility on the part of the students. The conclusions converge in that the use and high adoption of technology added to a constructivist and connectivist pedagogical approach contribute efficiently generating a positive impact within the educational institution.
