Supervision of the Port Infrastructure and its Impact on the Effective Cargo Transportation Service in the Port of Callao

Abstract




This research work was carried out through the application of surveys to 25 professionals and officials of the Supervision and Inspection Management of the Supervisory Agency for the Investment of Transportation Infrastructure in Public Use. (OSITRAN). in the city of Lima, having as reference the independent variable Port Infrastructure and the Dependent Variable, Freight Transportation; having favorable results in which 84% of the surveyed population that represented 21 professionals, manifested that there must always be an effective supervision of port infrastructure, in order to provide a better cargo transport service establishing coordination, safety and quality actions of the service that must be executed permanently to comply with the institutional objectives and to guarantee the integral rotation of the goods that are transported through port transport and in this case in Callao,
It is important to bear in mind that port infrastructure and cargo transport have a close relationship with seaports since through these elements they allow the transport of a large volume of merchandise that comes from internal and external trade, generating a strategic role within of commercial demand, the development of competition and productivity.
