Public management and execution of the participatory budget in the regional governments in Peru

Abstract
Carrying out studies in reference to how participatory budgets are executed in the public sector is relevant, because the development and improvement of the quality of life of large populations depends on it, and in Peru this reality is not alien either, it is important to know if it is true, the processes are carried out properly according to the norm and comply with the national strategic objectives. The main purpose of the study was to determine the relationship of public management in the execution of the Participatory Budget process in the Regional Government of Huancavelica, year 2020. Materials and methods. A non-experimental study design was applied: transectional descriptive correlational in a probabilistic sample of 73 workers appointed from the offices of general management, planning, budget and territorial conditioning and the regional administration office of GORE Huancavelica to whom two questionnaires were applied on Public Management and Participatory Budgeting and using the Likert Scale. Inferential analysis was performed using Spearman's Correlation Coefficient. Public management is directly related to the execution of the participatory budget in the Regional Government of Huancavelica, year 2020. The calculation of Spearman's “rho” correlation statistic whose value obtained is rho = 0, 506 ** with p = 0.000 (p <0.05) typified as mean positive correlation
