Abstract
This paper focuses its scope of research on the quality of higher education and evidences the results of an investigation conducted on the perception of educational quality by students of the Catholic University of Cuenca, which is one of the four major universities located in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador. In order to carry out the study, a semi-structured survey was carried out and applied virtually to the students of the different careers that make up the academic offerings of the university. The information obtained was used to apply the factor analysis model, a technique that allows finding homogeneous groups of variables from a broad set of variables. This method consists of establishing the minimum number of dimensions that explain the maximum amount of information contained in the data.
