Abstract

In this study, our objective is to examine the effects of implementing Augmented Reality (AR) on the achievement of learning objectives related to abstract concepts in educational courses such as chemistry, physics, and mathematics, which often present difficulties for students in visualizing complex concepts. The assumption of the study is that AR significantly increases learning, retention, and interest when students can interact with three-dimensional models of phenomena that are abstract or invisible. We assume that students would be able to visualize three-dimensional representations of abstract concepts. It is important to note that AR offered in a certain way can trigger interest in students. As a result, we adopted a concurrent triangulation strategy in which qualitative and quantitative data were collected simultaneously.
