Public policies for the reduction of anemia: a systematic review

Abstract
: This article presents a systematic review on the policies for the reduction of anemia, in a meticulous way different scenarios are investigated where public policies are applied to combat anemia in various people such as children and pregnant women, which are mostly affected by this condition. Scientific elaborations were examined in the period from 2017 to 2021. The proposed research is based on the methodology of Kitchenham (2004) and Okoli and Schabram (2010). The reviewed studies contribute empirical and theoretical information on anemia policies. The results show that the policies, programs and plans applied to anemia in Latin America are not enough to achieve a significant reduction in anemia.
