Scientific production on indoor hospital pollutant related to occupational disease: COVID-19

Abstract

Introduction. The occupational disease SARS-Cov-2 also called COVID-19 is a topic of current relevance in a country like Peru, due to its diverse population and psychosocial conditions, on the contrary, little is known about the research progress of the pollutant hospital interior related to occupational disease: COVID-19. Objective. Determine the current state of scientific production about the indoor contaminant of the hospital related to occupational disease: COVID-19 in the PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Redalyc, doaj and Scielo databases in the last 3 years. Materials and methods. This descriptive and introspective scientometric study was carried out following the PRISMA guidelines of the empirical studies found in PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Redalyc, doaj and Scielo, including a total of 20,367 articles of work published in indexed journals. Where finally a final sample of 24 articles was obtained. Results. It was identified that the country that published the most topics of indoor pollutant of the hospital related to occupational disease: COVID-19 is the United States and 2019 to 2021 were the years with the highest scientific production recorded in the last 3 years. Conclusion. The indoor pollutant of the hospital related to occupational disease: COVID-19 is a field of research that requires greater attention from Latin American researchers.
