Resumen

This research was conducted at the “Provincia del Cañar” Educational Unit, with a sample of 79 students from the first-year technical high school programs in Accounting and Informatics. The objective was to analyze students’ perceptions of traditional teaching methods and assess the potential impact of technological tools, such as the Jamovi simulator, on the development of entrepreneurial skills. The results show that while traditional methods generate some classroom engagement, there is a clear preference for innovative strategies that incorporate technology. Most students believe they have acquired basic knowledge to undertake entrepreneurial projects, but they express greater motivation when presented with tools that simulate real scenarios and support informed decision-making. There is strong interest in integrating simulators into the classroom, with over 92% of respondents willing to start a business if feasibility studies confirm profitability. These findings support the need to modernize teaching practices in the Entrepreneurship and Management area, promoting digital resources that enhance critical thinking, financial autonomy, and meaningful learning.
